I grew up in Albany, N.Y., a city steeped in politics (not all of it seemly) and took my first newspaper job as a clerk at the Times Union while studying at the University of Albany. Since then I’ve written about local, state and national government – from city halls to the White House. I currently cover the Supreme Court for USA TODAY. I live in Maryland.
